Jammie Nails!

I told you it was coming..... I just had to do another mani based on my pajamas.  The grey and white polka dot background didn't make it on to my original.  If you didn't see my first pajama mani then you can check it out  here.

As you know any opportunity to do polka dot nails I'm all over.  To my surprise polka dots work well with my short nubbin nails.  Subtle light colours also really help them out.

I used a Gosh grey for the full nail and added the white polka dots with Sally Hansen's 'White On'.

Hope you like!

Stamped Chevron Tips

Well here I am sitting in my bedroom while all the boys hoop and holler at the TV.  I'm not a fan of Sunday football.  I'm going to take the opportunity to have a little fun and figure out pinterest and instagram.  I'm not too sure how I feel about instagram yet because I don't take nail pictures with my phone.  Seems like a lot of effort to send them to my phone then post. I could just be lazy though

On to the nails.  I wanted to do something with red and grey and this was the outcome.  I used two coats of Rimmel's 'Red Stilleto'.  I then taped off the chevron tip and painted with a no name Gosh grey. I then stamped with Bundle Monster BM203. I'm sure I used a Gosh polish for this as well.  I find most of the cream polishes work great for stamping.

31 Day Challenge: Delicate print

Is it possible to do a 31 Day Challenge switcheroo?  As  I'm getting ready to post this I'm thinking my flower nails would be better as delicate and these for flowers.  Oh well I like to keep things caarazy!!!

I really like these two colours together for fall. The full nail is in Essie's 'Gym Dandy' and the flowers are stamped with Bundle Monster BM313.  I used Gosh 'Berry M .....'(sticker covering the name. That's the best I could make out) . I'm loving the quality of Gosh for stamping. I highly suggest trying them out

Matte Black Sugar Spun Nails

Howdy Folks!

I've had these nails stored in my brain for a very long time now.  I kept meaning to try it out and finally on Sunday I did.  Although sugar spun nails are not practical for a girl like me(remember I'm a picker!)  I still really wanted to try it out.  I think the effect is so cool

The black is Rimmel London's 'Black Satin'.  I used two coats and topped off with Gosh 'Matt Effect'.  I used the same black to create the sugar spun effect!  The sugar spun part is not the best but still not bad.

This is the first time a mani in my head turned out the same on my nails. WOOP WOOP!

Black & White/Shiny & Matt

This weeks Sunday homework assignment was black & white.  Of course the first thing that came to my mind was polka dots.  I was able to refrain from it though.

I'm a little later on posting than usual so have had a chance to see Nicole Gets Nailed first.  Please check out her Dotty French.  It's amazing! I did not put as much effort in to mine and now I regret it.  :oP

To begin I painted just the tips of my nails in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in 'White On'.  I then used two pieces of striping tape across the white section and covered the full nail in Rimmel's 'Black Satin'.  Before letting it dry completely I pulled off the striping tape exposing the white underneath.

I've showed a pick with Gosh's matt top coat and one with nothing.  If I were to leave it shiny I would definitely use a top coat. It gets a little bumpy where the tape is taken off

Which one do you guys prefer? I'm really liking the matt top coat on black in general.

Mellow Monday

Nothing too fancy today.  Just wanted to go with something subtle with an itty bitty bit of colour.
I started with two coats of Orly's 'Decades of Dysfunction'. (Which by the way is my first Orly polish ever!)
The dots I made with Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in 'The Real Teal'

Short post eh?!
I feel really guilty that its so short so I decided to throw in my swatches I did with Gosh's Matte Top Coat.  I found this last week at Shopper's Drug Mart and just had to buy it.  I wasn't sure if I would ever use it again but now I know I will!!!

BEFORE

AFTER

The index and middle finger only took one coat but  the ring and pinkie took 3.  I guess it just depends on the type of polish it is put over.
What do you guys think? I'll probably try doing something a little fun with it soon!
