31 Day Challenge: Glitter

Yes, I am a day late posting the glitter challenge. Our family had our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday so things were a little hectic.  This will be the first of two posts today.  I did two Thanksgiving inspired mani's to show you.

I don't usually take pictures of my glitter manicures.  I always get so frustrated because the camera can't capture the sparkliness. I know most others have the same problem though.

I used two coats of Julep's 'Eloise' which I received in Octobers Julep box.  I will post those goodies for you tomorrow.  The glitter I had picked up at Micheal's some time ago.  I used the tip of an orange stick to place them.

Stamped Graple Marble Dots

I had no idea what the post title should be for this.  The only thing that came to mind was Stamped Graple Marble Dots!  I bet this name hasn't been used before.

For this look I used about five different purple polishes.  Basically its just dots on top of dots on top of dots.  I used stamp BM-203 from my new stamping plates I purchased from Nail Polish Canada.  I'm so happy they sell Bundle Monster now.  I'm considering to ask Nail Polish Canada to go steady ;)

I topped it off with my first bottle of Seche Vite top coat(also purchased at Nail Polish Canada).  I really like the effect that came out.  Kind of looks like purple marble to me.

Impulsive Minty Sorbet

Happy Friday everyone! It's Thanksgiving long weekend her in Canada. Woop Woop!

I'm so happy to be back at work.... and blogging :oP  I had a ton of paperwork on my desk but it basically only took me the hour and a half I've been here so far.  I wonder when they'll notice.

On to the nails.  I've been neglecting my dots.  I love doing dots so much but am scared I'll overkill them on here.  They make me happy though so I'm going to continue.

For the base I used Sally Hansen X-Treme wear in 'Minty Sorbet.'  The dots are in 'Black Out'  and I believe China Glaze 'Spontaneous'.  No promises though.  I can't really recall what brand the purple was but China Glaze seems right.  I then used a matte top coat. This made all the difference. I love the look of the pale green mattified ;o)

Hope you enjoy!

31 Day Challenge: Tribal

It's tribal time!  I've tried messing around with this look a couple times but had such bad luck with the photos. Finally I was able to capture one of them.

Although it's not perfect I'm pretty proud of myself. I did it all free hand except for the obvious stamp design(and the piece of striping tape). I really need to pull out my brushes more often.

I used plenty of polishes for this so didn't take the effort to write them down.  Hope you like!

Mango Flowers

Happy hump day everyone!  It's always so nice to know that I'm half way done the work week. I'm actually at home though.  Sick again!!!!

I did this a couple nights ago. No nails for me yesterday or today. I usually kind of like the smell of nail polish which is super weird. Right now it just makes me what to up chuck :oP

For this look I used two coats of Revlon's 'Mad about Mango' over the entire nail.  The black stripes are made with my trusty striping tape. I then used a dotter to create the flowers and dots.

I had a fun time messing around with this one.

Born Pretty review: Stamping plate M69

Hi All!

Review day!  Daisy Lee from Born Pretty asked me to review some product for her.  I chose stamping plate M69 (you can check it out here). I'm a lover of stamping and this first stamp was calling out my name.

I tested all of the stamps right away and the quality was top notch.  This first picture is what I had in mind even before receiving the plate. I should of used a different polish for stamping though. It was not as bright as I was planning on it to be.   I still love the look of it though, especially with the hint of glitter in the background.

Here is another I had a little fun with ;)

31 Day Challenge: Delicate print

Is it possible to do a 31 Day Challenge switcheroo?  As  I'm getting ready to post this I'm thinking my flower nails would be better as delicate and these for flowers.  Oh well I like to keep things caarazy!!!

I really like these two colours together for fall. The full nail is in Essie's 'Gym Dandy' and the flowers are stamped with Bundle Monster BM313.  I used Gosh 'Berry M .....'(sticker covering the name. That's the best I could make out) . I'm loving the quality of Gosh for stamping. I highly suggest trying them out
