Zipper Water Decals-BornPretty review

Hey Kids!

Today I have a review for you from Born Pretty.  This is by far the most fun I have had doing a review.  It was a blast doing this mani.

I was sent Zipper Water Decals to review.  I've seen these around the web so thought I would give them a try myself.  I had absolutely no problems creating this look.  The nails that show the zipper opening I painted red first. Then I just eyeballed where I thought the zipper openings would be and applied the black.  The decals were so easy to maneuver on my nails that I had no problem lining them up.  Once they dried I added a top coat.  I can not get over how easy it was.

What do you guys think?  I highly suggest purchasing a set of the  Zipper Water Decals.  FUN! FUN! FUN!

5 Piece Fancy Feather nail art-Born Pretty Review

Happy Friday to all!

Today I have a fun review for you. I've seen these around the web and have been dying to try them.

What better way to try then in a review.  I was sent these from Born Pretty .  Although I was very intimidated at first they really aren't that hard to do.  I chose the blue feathers from the 5 piece fancy feather.

I was not sure what colour the feathers would look best on so I decided to go skittle with it.  I applied the colour base as per usual.  Once that dried I used an old top coat that was pretty tacky so the feathers would stick.  Very carefully I placed the feather on my nail.  Do to the texture I had to top it off with three coats of Seche to get it perfectly smooth. Once that dried I trimmed the ends of the feather as close to the end of my nails as possible. The last little bit I filed off.  Voila!

I really would like to try this with natural looking feathers some time

Born Pretty Review- Swarovski Flatback Clear Crystals

Review time!!!

Daisy from Born Pretty Store had me choose some more product to review.  I decided to go a little crazy (for me) and review Swarovski Flatback Clear Crystals.  Due to me being a picker I rarely use nail art that can easily be picked off.  Good news though...I didn't pick these off!   They were itty bitty which is great for me. After awhile I didn't even realize they were on there.

I don't have a special picker upper for placing these on my nails. What I do is dip an orange stick in a little bit of top coat, let it dry for a couple seconds then use it to pick up the stones.  It works pretty darn good!

If your interested in buying some of these yourself please feel free to use my coupon code NADL91 to receive 10% off.  You can also find this code on my side bar

Born Pretty Review: Double Sided Stamper and Water Decals

Hi All

I'm slowly coming around and getting back to my normal self.  I'm very tired (and disappointed) though.  Oh well c'est lat vie!

Today I have another Born Pretty review for you.  I chose to test both the double sided stamp with scraper and butterfly water decals.

I'm happy to say the double sided stamper worked wonderfully. I did have to rough it up a bit first with my emery board.  The scraper I chose not to use.  I prefer using an old gift card to prevent scratching my plates.

I was a little quick to apply the top coat as seen on my middle finger.  This had nothing to do with the stamp though

The butterfly water decals took a little more skills.  It took me a couple tries to get it just right.  With time and practice I'm sure it will get easier. As you can see I this one is not a butterfly but it is from the same sheet.

Pardon the pictures.  I had to take these inside. Does anyone have any more tips as far as taking indoor pictures? I've made my light box but the pictures still look like very bad quality. Drives me nuts

Born Pretty review: Stamping plate M69

Hi All!

Review day!  Daisy Lee from Born Pretty asked me to review some product for her.  I chose stamping plate M69 (you can check it out here). I'm a lover of stamping and this first stamp was calling out my name.

I tested all of the stamps right away and the quality was top notch.  This first picture is what I had in mind even before receiving the plate. I should of used a different polish for stamping though. It was not as bright as I was planning on it to be.   I still love the look of it though, especially with the hint of glitter in the background.

Here is another I had a little fun with ;)
