Not really sure what's going on here. My options were limited as far as vault photos. I did these sometime last week so I wouldn't necessarily classify them as 'vault' yet. My nails are in horrible shape right now....were talking disgusting. Blah!
Today is suppose to be 'Inspired by Artwork' on the 31 Day challenge but alas I'm late again. I think I'll just suck it up and do them tonight regardless of how nasty my nails are. I think you guys can handle it and if not just look away ;)
For these nails I used Rimmel's 'Red Stilleto' and the black is Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure in a sparkly black

Matte Black Sugar Spun Nails
Howdy Folks!
I've had these nails stored in my brain for a very long time now. I kept meaning to try it out and finally on Sunday I did. Although sugar spun nails are not practical for a girl like me(remember I'm a picker!) I still really wanted to try it out. I think the effect is so cool
The black is Rimmel London's 'Black Satin'. I used two coats and topped off with Gosh 'Matt Effect'. I used the same black to create the sugar spun effect! The sugar spun part is not the best but still not bad.
This is the first time a mani in my head turned out the same on my nails. WOOP WOOP!

Yogaga your a Burgandy Flirt(sorry I don't have a title)
Good Morning Everyone! ;o)
Today I have something a little fun for you. I enjoyed doing this one because I got to use the dotter!!!
I'm really getting into fall colours now. As far as nail polish I think you can wear any colour in any season. The nail polish companies seem to stick with seasonal colours though.
For the base I used Essie's 'Yogaga'. I love this colour but unfortunately it looks like it was a limited edition. I can't find it anywhere now. The burgundy colour is Rimmel's 'Burgandy Flirt'.
You will notice for awhile that I'm not showing my thumb. It's in pretty rough shape right now. I caught it on something so had to cut it very very extremely short!

RED: 31 Day Challenge
This if my very first official nail polish challenge. I'd always seen post of people doing the 31 day challenge but I was very intimidated by it all :os I said what they hey though and jumped on the wagon. Kimber from Kimber's Laquer Korner had decided that it would be better if we did it every 3 days. Less pressure for all of us. So I guess its more like the 93 day challenge.
Of course the first day as most people know is red. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the picture. It did not capture the effect at all. Unfortunately I didn't check the photos until this morning.
Enough poor me though. I used my favourite red by Rimmel London in 'Red Stilleto'. I then used Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in 'Red Carpet' to create a gradient effect. I wish you could all see it in person because it really did turn out beautifully

Black & White/Shiny & Matt
This weeks Sunday homework assignment was black & white. Of course the first thing that came to my mind was polka dots. I was able to refrain from it though.
I'm a little later on posting than usual so have had a chance to see Nicole Gets Nailed first. Please check out her Dotty French. It's amazing! I did not put as much effort in to mine and now I regret it. :oP
To begin I painted just the tips of my nails in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in 'White On'. I then used two pieces of striping tape across the white section and covered the full nail in Rimmel's 'Black Satin'. Before letting it dry completely I pulled off the striping tape exposing the white underneath.
I've showed a pick with Gosh's matt top coat and one with nothing. If I were to leave it shiny I would definitely use a top coat. It gets a little bumpy where the tape is taken off
Which one do you guys prefer? I'm really liking the matt top coat on black in general.

Braided Nails
I'm not going to lie this is not the first time I've attempted a braid manicure.....but it is the second so take it easy on me ;o)
I actually hope to do a little more tutorials like I did with my caviar nails. Right now it is not possible though as I'm in the midst of packing and moving. As soon as we get settled in to our new place I will be sure to do some. I always love seeing how things are done myself so that's why I plan on doing it.
For this manicure I started off with two coats of Finger Paints 'Inkblot Blue'. I decided to just do the braid on my ring finger because it was a little frustrating for me :oP. In the braid I used the 'Inkblot Blue, Quo's 'Steel Heart' and Rimmel's 'Black Satin'.
The concept is pretty easy because all of us girls have made a braid at some point in our life. The difficulty for me was keeping the lines straight. Something else I will have to work on is keeping it centre. It slowly went to one side.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions to make this go a little more smoothly for me?

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...Sally Hansen Salon Effects
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The three 'R's we all learned about in public school. I can do the reuse and recycle but the reduce????....I don't think so.
For this manicure I started of with 2 coats of Rimmel's Lasting finish pro in Stilleto Red. I love the shape of the brush and the polish goes on so smoothly. I originally bought this for a bachelorette party last year and am now on my second bottle. I love the shine it keeps.
For the strips I cut up an old dried out Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strip in 'Blue Ice'
For once my camera was able to capture the sheen on a nail polish. Unfortuantely it didn't capture the sparkle of the strips. They were glittering like a Christmas tree :o)

Black with Pink and Sparkle Polka Dots
So I had a little more fun with polka dots. This is basically the only real free hand nail art I can do. I’m slowly learning but I think even if I could do more my fav would still be polka dots. We have a long running history ;o)
