White Jelly anyone?....didn't think so

Quick post = not so great nails :(
Whenever I miss a day of posting I feel sooo guilty.  Last night I babysat my little nephew and today I have to continue with the unpacking.  I forgot how long it takes to unpack and get settled into a new place.
So I have a quick post for you today.  I'm not exactly a fan of these nails but I love experimenting. :)  The only reason I attempted the white jelly sandwich is because I had an extremely sheer white. I use white alot and Sally Hansen's Complete Salon manicure in 'Polar Bear' was on sale so I just picked it up.  I guess I should of checked it first.  It's a barely there polish that I probably will never use again.  I'd feel guilty if it went to complete waste and this is the only thing I could come up with.
Instead of using 'Polar Bear' for the base I used Finger Paints 'Paper Mache'. I knew it would take too many coats otherwise.  I then used a coat of Orly's glitter in 'Can't be Tamed' followed by two top coats of 'Polar Bear'

  1. I think this looks like a darned good jelly sandwich! Reminds me of Aphrodite Lacquers "Drama" polish :) http://www.etsy.com/listing/103779418/drama-glitter-nail-polish-full-size

  3. This actually looks cute!! I know what you mean about white jellies, they are tough. Essie Marshmallow seems to be thick enough that it doesn't need a million coats but sheer enough to do a glitter sandwich

  6. I feel the same way about a few yellows I have! I had a sheer yellow one and because even after 3 coats it wasn't even close to being opaque I threw it away! Now I wish I had it to do a jelly sandwich. I'm about to attempt a jelly sandwich today! Your nails are always gorgeous! :)

  8. I'm digging these! I hate when I accidentally buy a super sheer that I wouldn't really use, I have quite a few of those >.< Also I feel your packing pain, I'm on the other side of it starting to pack. I get to do all the unpacking in a few weeks haha.
